The second generation of the Canopus Yaiba maple snares was created with the idea to deliver 100% Canopus snaresound at a reasonable price. This has been achieved by a rather small variety of models (there are two shell sizes 14 x 5,5" and 14 x 6.5" each available in 4 different colors) and a more cost effective hardware. The Yaiba lugs with their typical design can be produced at a lower price than the solid brass lugs of the Japanese custom drums.
